She is watching
She is trying to finish her homework
too much distractions
cant think
nobody knows
head hurts
too tired
cold
shivering
not only from cold
but from the consequences
spicy
burns
stomach hurts
like acid poured
wake up early
to catch the night bus
to get to work
so faaaaaaaar
lake so cold

This type of writing is called automatic writing where the thoughts are all jumbled and does not follow a certain sequence. They are unconcious thoughts.
It was easy for me beccause I tried to shut all the concious thoughts and wrote whatever came to mind.

x^2 + y^2 =1, is an equation of a circle

now if we add one more variable and make the equation:
x^2 + y^2 + z^2 =1

It becomes a sphere!!!!

I was wondering what if we add one one more variable to the equation what would the shape be. Adding of one more variable added another dimension so the circle became sphere. What would a sphere become? And what happens if we keep on adding dimensions?

Stuart Ross is a Torontonian poet, fiction writer, editor and creative-writing instructor. He was first published when he was sixteen in the book The Thing in Exile. As an active writer he has appeared in a lot of literrary circles.
Once he said that “Writing is about lying, and perhaps more extreme the lie, the better.”
I was really confused about his statement, becaue I always thought the best writing was produed by deep emotions. But then I realized he was talking about surrealist writting. Surrealist writing involves imagination. More the imaginitve the writer is, better results are produced.

After few minutes I told my mother

Poetry Type – Idyll

There are different types of poetry and the type of poetry that I got really interested in was Idyll type of poetry. The word Idyll is derived from the Greek word ‘edyllion’, and it means little picture. As the word suggests the poem comprises of little peaceful scenes from idealized country sites where everybody is living in harmony and the Mother Nature is very blissful. The other type of idyll poetry comprises of the stories of ancient heroes, celebrating their success. The famous poem ‘The Passionate Sheppard to his Love’ by Christopher Marlow has images of a perfect countryside where the Sheppard lives and he is trying to persuade his lover through these images. He is trying his best to let his lover know that if she decided to accept his love, then she will find beautiful things waiting for her in the meadow. In the poem the poet mentions:

“And we will sit upon the rocks,
Seeing the shepherds feed their flocks,
By shallow rivers to whose falls
Melodious birds sing madrigals.”

The verse that really attracts me to this poem is “Melodious birds sing madrigals”. The birds sing to melodious tones to invite people. The birds mostly sing in the season of spring so to woo his lover the Sheppard only discusses the season of spring throughout the poem. He does so because the season brings new beginnings to life. The season is meant to represent fresh starts.
The idyll poetry is very refreshing since one gets the natural images of the world rather than artificial world created all around us. We are unable to see the natural beauty that surrounds us because we are so busy in our urban lives that we forget about the country side.

CALCULUS!! – My top interest

One of my top interests is Calculus and I wanted to further investigate it. Basically Calculus is a branch of mathematics that deals with the change of rate of a function, and I find much more interesting than any other branch. I am really interested in learning and further expanding my knowledge in this branch. Five things I didn’t know about calculus:
1. In 1820 BC calculus was used to find the volume of a pyramidal frustum by an Egyptian. That shows that calculus has been around for a long time, it’s just that nobody gave the name calculus to it. Then in 17th century, Sir Isaac Newton formally introduced calculus in his work while working on mathematical physics problems.
2. L’Hôpital’s rule, also called Bernoulli’s rule, was first believed to be found by French mathematician Guillaume de L’Hôpital, since he established it in his book but later on it was established that Swiss mathematician Johann Bernoulli was real discoverer of the rule.
3. First form of integration was used by breaking down the volume and area of a shape into infinitely small number of shapes of which volume or the area was defined. It was called Method of Exhaustion and was first used by Greeks.
4. The symbol of integration, ∫, elongated s, came from Latin word ‘summa’, which means sum of all and integration means the sum of all the area or volume underneath a curve.
5. So apparently the 100th derivative of sin⁡〖(〖2x)〗^2 〗+cos⁡〖〖(2x)〗^2 〗 with respect to x, when x = 1, is equal to zero. Since the first derivative of the function is 0 the rest of the derivatives would be zero too!

Poet investigation – Jeramy Dodds

I decided to do my investigation on Poet Jeramy Dodds. He lives in Orono, Ontario. He is a very famous poet and his work has been translated into other languages. His poetry uses humour to approach everyday life situations. In one of his interview he mentions that he started writing when he reached puberty because he couldn’t talk to others about his feelings. I do that too. I write about thing s that I can’t talk to people about. So the best poetry is the one that comes straight from heart.

I read “The Epileptic Acupuncturist” by the poet and in this poem the poet gives the general public advices. These advices given by poet are ironic since we are thought the exact opposite thing every day. For instance at one point the poet says: “Don’t mind your own business to the ground.” For some reason this line really appealed to me and made me ponder. It am still not sure what author means by this.

Epitaph for Moonlight (Investigation On Sound)

R.Murray Schafer’s composition was incredible. It awakened spontaneous emotions. At first I felt like it was all natural sounds so it sounded good. But then all of a sudden the vocals almost disappear and you also get this weird sound that almost sounds like somebody is screeching. It has a lot of unexpectedness to it. When the vocals reappear they are really high frequencies. So it’s almost as if the vocals jump at you. The vocals reach from low to high and that creates a sense of mysteriousness to the piece.

The word epitaph means eulogy, and eulogies are given at a death of a person. I was really curious why did the composer name it epitaph for moonlight? Was the composer suggesting that the moon is already dead?

I want to research more when the piece was composed and if it has any historical importance to it. Overall even though the word epitaph creates a sense of death lurking around the composition itself actually was really unusual is the sense that it provided a sense of easiness.

Stranger

I was walking down the street and I didn’t notice you coming towards me

I was in my little world and you were in yours

I swear I wasn’t thinking about you

And then I felt a shudder of a huge mass onto me,

You bumped into me

Before I could look up and I see you, I felt like I wasn’t bumping into a stranger

I felt like I knew this smell from before

This unique smell of yours

I felt warmth in those hands

I felt like I belonged

Those arms had held me before

I was still trying to inhale everything out of this touch of yours

Save it all in a file in my memory

Was it fate that brought us back again tonight

When you pushed yourself away

And said “I am sorry”

You know how long I had waited for those words

Tonight when those words approached my ears

They were like bells of joy to my ears

I was still dreaming

And I hadn’t realized that you were already walking down the street

Now I understand, I was just another stranger to you
